Joshua A. Besnoff, CSP, is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Primary Safety & Risk Group, bringing more than 15 years of experience helping organizations reduce risk, strengthen operational performance, and build sustainable safety cultures. Throughout his career, Joshua has partnered with executive leadership teams across manufacturing, construction, distribution, logistics, field service, and corporate operations to solve complex regulatory, operational, and organizational challenges.

As Director of Safety for Renewal by Andersen's largest affiliate, Joshua leads enterprise-wide environmental, health, safety, and risk management strategy supporting operations across multiple states. He oversees workers' compensation, auto liability, and general liability programs, collaborates with insurers and legal counsel, and develops integrated risk management strategies that protect people while improving business performance. Under his leadership, the organization achieved a sustained 33% year-over-year reduction in Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), demonstrating that operational excellence and employee safety are mutually reinforcing objectives.

Prior to his current role, Joshua served with Anheuser-Busch InBev, where he audited safety, fleet, facilities, and operational management systems throughout the United States and Canada, providing executive leadership with strategic recommendations to improve compliance, operational maturity, and risk performance. Earlier in his career, he consulted with organizations across a wide range of industries, developing regulatory compliance programs, conducting industrial hygiene assessments, and helping clients navigate complex OSHA and environmental requirements.

Joshua's consulting philosophy is grounded in the belief that the most effective safety programs are practical, data-driven, and aligned with business objectives. Rather than delivering generic compliance solutions, he works alongside leaders to identify risk, strengthen management systems, improve operational efficiency, and create lasting organizational change.

His expertise includes OSHA and regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, enterprise risk management, safety management systems, fleet and transportation safety, workers' compensation and liability claims, incident investigations, regulatory audits, leadership development, and strategic program design. Clients rely on Joshua not only for technical expertise, but for his ability to translate complex risk into practical business decisions that improve performance, reduce costs, and protect organizational reputation.

Joshua holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Safety and Occupational Health Applied Science and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Safety Sciences. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), an OSHA Authorized Trainer, and has completed executive leadership development through Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
